SKILLS · HABITS · CONFIDENCE

Strong foundations for independent learning.

I work with each student in a friendly, supportive environment where it is safe to ask questions, explore ideas, make mistakes and try again. Together, we build confidence alongside the discipline and academic habits that help students become increasingly capable and independent.

LITERACYReading comprehension, analytical reading, writing, vocabulary, writing mechanics and, where appropriate, phonics. Engaging work develops independent thinking, analytical skills and genuine self expression.
ORGANIZATION & DISCIPLINETime management, homework and assignment planning, task prioritization, deadlines and weekly routines that help students stay focused and follow through.
STUDY SKILLSPractical strategies for test preparation, challenging homework and breaking complex work into manageable steps.
CONFIDENCE & INDEPENDENCESupport that helps students recognize their progress, take intellectual risks and assume increasing ownership of their learning.
SMALL GROUP PROGRAMS

Middle to high school transition.

In addition to my one-to-one work, I collaborate with Canadian STEM & AI Academy (CSAA) in Markham to offer selected small-group programs. In 2026–27, I am teaching a 32-week course designed to help students make a successful transition from middle school to high school, with particular emphasis on the reading, writing, analytical thinking and study skills required for Grade 9 and beyond.
